Dr. Adaeze Chidinma Oreh is a Nigerian family physician and public health specialist whose work joins clinical medicine, federal health policy, national blood-service reform, and global health research.
A career built around care, systems, and equity.
Adaeze Oreh earned her MBBS from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and went on to postgraduate training in family medicine, becoming a Fellow of the West African College of Physicians.
She holds an MSc in International Health Management from Imperial College London and an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and is a doctoral researcher in Global Health at the University of Groningen.
Her federal service spanned the Department of Hospital Services at Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Health and the country’s national blood service, where she contributed to the framework that became the National Blood Service Commission Act of 2021.
From June 2023 to February 2026 she served as Honourable Commissioner for Health for Rivers State, leading health-system reform.

Systems that reach the last mile.
In 2017 Dr. Oreh founded the Kaibeya Care Foundation, a non-profit that runs voluntary medical outreach focused on maternal and child health in underserved communities across Nigeria.
Alongside that community work, her national blood-service reform helped shape the legislative framework enacted as the National Blood Service Commission Act of 2021 — infrastructure meant to make safe blood available where it is needed most.
